OOKEAN

OOKEAN MUSIC PRODUCTION. TALLIN (ESTONIA) 2021

In the magnificent musical production titled “Ookean”, we immersed ourselves in a captivating audiovisual spectacle that wove a narrative about the inescapable connection between humanity and the marine environment. This striking staging combined impressive choreography of water and fire, artistic expressions through body language and an emotional soundtrack. On this stage, our beloved Euterpe appeared, dressed in a diving suit, which symbolized both the deep relationship of people with the sea and the eternal human desire to explore and discover. Sharing the stage with the majestic Tallinn Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Choir Voices Tallinn, Euterpe stood as a focal point that encapsulated the essence of the production. The choice of a diver as the central character in the story had a deeper meaning: she highlighted the dangers inherent in the way humans treat the oceans, reflecting the dark consequence of our irresponsible attitude. A critical and timely message that resonated through Euterpe’s presence. Our giant puppet, she glided on an exciting outdoor tour between Tallinn City Hall and the Cruise Terminal, embodying the spirit of exploration and environmental awareness. The climax came when Euterpe dove into the waters at the end of the show, a powerful gesture that encapsulated the connection between humanity and the ocean. The show’s producer, Ants Lust, eloquently summarized Euterpe’s essence as a diver, highlighting his role in reminding us of the dangers and responsibilities that come with our relationship with the oceans. This emotional and sensational show not only captivated the audience, but also served as a powerful reminder of our interconnectedness with the marine world and the urgent need to care for it.
